Rate limiting is a strategy for limiting network traffic. It puts a cap on how often someone can repeat an action within a certain timeframe – for instance, calling an API – limiting and queuing requests and calls.

How does rate limiting work in Voucherify?

For API-based technologies, such as Voucherify, rate limiting is a key component of API scalability and security. Besides securing API with API keys that authorize each request, Voucherify has a robust API throttling mechanism built in to ensure platform stability and prevent our API from getting overwhelmed. 

According to our Fair Use Policy, exceeding the number of API calls allowed per hour, we will block your access to the API immediately.
